Ground to Gob is my blog inspired by a growing passion to understand and know what I am eating, where it has come from and what it has gone through to get to my plate. Recently returned to Ireland after living in Australia for over seven years, this is my exploration of the food of Ireland and sourcing locally produced organic and sustainable food. The first step on this journey is spending three months at Ballymaloe Cookery School which is on an organic farm in the county of Cork and run by the legendary Darina Allen and her brother Rory O’ Connell. This is a re-learning of everything I know and have assumed about the sourcing and consuming of food. Where to after Ballymaloe? Watch this space…….
